Steering Group

Following several public meetings and consultations, a group of local residents set up the Teampull Chaluim Chille Steering Group in pursuit of the following objects:

• investigate the opportunity and viability of stabilising Teampull Chaluim Chille and community management of the associated croft and properties
• consult with, inform and represent the interests of the whole community
• liaise with agencies, statutory bodies and landowners or their representatives, where required
• secure funding from appropriate bodies to enable the appointment of various professionals and consultants to assist the work of the group
• report back to the wider community as appropriate
• establish whether or not the community wishes to pursue the proposed initiatives
• form a community company, if appropriate, to progress and implement the initiatives
